Thanks to all our library patrons who participated in the Summer Reading Club this year! We had a great summer filled with fun events and, of course, lots and lots of reading. This year we had the highest number of readers we’ve ever had registered in our Summer Reading Club.
Thanks also to the following businesses and organizations for their generous contributions:
- Allegany Arts Council
- Anchor Homes
- Baltimore Orioles
- College Savings Plan of Maryland
- Maryland Science Center
- Queen City Creamery
- Taco Bell
- Western Maryland Regional Library
Summer Reading Club may be over, but you can still have a blast and read every day! Thanks for a great summer! We look forward to doing it all again next year and keep reading!
Lily Cessna (fifth from the left) was the Summer Reading Club participant who went down on the Orioles field and represented Allegany County Library System at the August 6th Orioles game. Lily and her family had a wonderful time and that it was an experience they will never forget. Her Dad even caught a foul ball! Congratulations to all our Summer Readers!
